London Fashion Week is definitely a lot more interesting than NYFW… nudity…. and eggs??

Check out Giles Deacon’s feature look for this years fashion week:

The eggcoat.

Errr yeah. It’s gross. But it still sh*ts on the cost-cutting shows that were presented at NYFW. London Fashion Week seems to have so much more to offer. The rest of Deacon’s collection, despite not being entirely wearable, was inspired and in short, beautiful.

So apparently when the Marchesa show began @ NYFW, the crowd actually gasped.. whoopdifrickendoo. Yes the collections is utterly amazing and beautifully structured, but honestly, who is ever going to be able to wear (or afford to wear for that matter) any of these gowns????? However I must say, the jump suits are pretty damn cool. Check it all out:

Michael Kors @ NYFW

Posted in effing amazing., the big guys., we like., wonderfully famous. with tags , , , , on September 16, 2010 by streetcredthread

Mr Kors began his career in fashion at the age of 19. After designing and merchandising a collection for the renowned boutique Lothars in New York City, he formed his own label (Michael Kors) in 1981. Today, the line includes a full range of women’s handbags, shoes, belts, eyewear and of course clothing. Kors’ creations have been worn by the likes of Angelina Jolie, Cameron Diaz, Uma Thurman, Jennifer Lopez, Kate Winslet, Sandra Bullock, Madonna, Babara Streisand, Kate Hudson and Lady Michelle Obama to name a few.

His autumn/winter 2011 collection for NYFW was classic, chic and stuctured. A huge focus on monotone beige, brown, black and grey– with to-die-for furs and emphasis on layering, leg warmers and chunky socks.
